Scheduled for January 7, 2024, the 11th edition of the Vadodara International Marathon, Gujarat’s highly awaited sporting event, has generated significant excitement among athletes. As part of the preparations for the Vadodara Marathon, a 10 km “promo run” marathon took place today at the Polo Ground, further fueling the enthusiasm of participants.
Tejal Amin, Chairperson of the Vadodara Marathon, along with Co-Chairperson Sameer Khera and Director Nilesh Shukla, commenced the promotional run today at 5:30 am from Polo Ground. Their objective was to inspect the entire course and ensure the verification of all elements ahead of the upcoming marathon. This promotional run saw the participation of 570 marathon runners, with a significant number completing the full 10-kilometer course. Throughout the route, essential amenities, including water stations and medical services, were made available to all participants. The Vadodara Marathon team, along with the police and a group of prominent runners, provided support to all participants throughout the course.
Vadodara Marathon 2024 Registration
Elite professional runners from India and around the globe join every edition of VM, alongside residents from cities and villages in Gujarat. VM is not only committed to addressing local social and civic issues but also devoted to the principles of “Sports with Seva and Swachchata.” It serves as an inspiration, encouraging individuals to adopt active and healthy lifestyles. Age Requirements for Vadodara International Marathon on Race Day:
In order to participate in the Vadodara International Marathon, it is essential to meet the following age criteria. Please take note of the specific age requirements corresponding to the racing categories you intend to apply for:
- Full Marathon: For the 42.195-kilometer race, participants must be at least 18 years of age or older as of January 4, 2023.
- Half-Marathon: For the 21.098-kilometer race, all participating individuals must be a minimum of 18 years old as of January 4, 2024.
- All other racing categories: Participants in any other racing categories must be 14 years of age or older as of January 4, 2023.
Guidelines For Vadodara Marathon 2023
Age and Photo ID Verification: To successfully complete your registration for the Vadodara Marathon, it is mandatory to upload a photocopy or scan of a valid government-issued age verification and photo identification document.
Medical Fitness: All participants are required to be in good physical health, as determined by a licensed medical professional. If any of our marshals or medical staff assess that you may not be physically fit to participate, even if you possess a valid running number BIB, you may be denied entry. Please note that in such cases, no refunds for your registration fees will be provided.
Entry and Access: To gain entry to the event venue and take part in any of the races, registration and possession of a valid running number BIB are prerequisites.
